Startup Showcase: TriEye - SWIR Technology For Superior Vehicle Vision
Updated: Jan 29, 2019
TriEye develops next-gen SWIR technology allowing autonomous vehicles to see at any condition. View Robin.ly exclusive interview with their CEO Avi Bakal at CES2019:
Solution at a Glance
TriEye is developing a transformative technology to address the challenge of smart and autonomous vehicle safety under adverse weather/low visibility conditions. The company's unique semiconductor design uses patent-pending technology, which allows the production of shortwave infrared (SWIR) cameras at a fraction of their current cost and therefore improving safety and enabling the autonomous car revolution.
Technological Innovation Product Differentiation
TriEye is the product of over 6 years of research led by professor Uriel Levy, a world leader in nano-photonics.
Established in 2016, headquartered in Tel-Aviv and chaired by Dov Moran, the company's team specializes in device physics, process design, and electro-optics.
The unique semiconductor design uses patent-pending technology, which allows the production of shortwave infrared (SWIR) cameras at a fraction of their current cost.
While existing solutions rely on expensive InGaAs-silicon process, our patented Silicon based SWIR detector is a CMOS compatible solution, which leads to X1000 cost reduction comparison to similar solutions, all the while maintaining high performance levels.
